The webinar "Test Translation for ELLs: Basic Concepts and Methods" will provide a synopsis of the translation processes and procedures for large-scale assessments for ELLs. The presentation will outline “what to consider” when translating such materials for ELLs, as well as a step-by-step demonstration of these methods, which include: translation, transadaptation and concurrent-development. The presenters also will discuss the validity and reliability of translations and will focus their remarks on written translations, not on oral or spontaneous translations of assessments.
