Dr. Mari Rasmussen will provide an overview of the role of the English Language Learner Office at the state level, with a focus on how this office can serve as a resource for school districts. Ms Nancy Rowch and Ms Joanne G. Marino will discuss their experiences and challenges as directors of a state ELL’s office as well as the approaches they use to disseminate information and provide resources to LEAs. The presenters will also discuss services they provide to teachers, administrators, parents and other community members in their states.
